What to Do in Penida?

Nusa Penida is one of the main highlights of Bali.

Due to locations like Kelingking Beach and Angel’s Billabong tourism on Nusa Penida has taken a huge step up. Go on a Nusa Penida Day Tour from Bali or explore the entire island in a 3-day Nusa Penida Trip.

If you’re in Nusa Penida, you should go here. However, if you intend to descend all the way, proceed with caution and preparation.

It takes about 40 minutes to descend and a little less time to ascend, depending on how busy the path is. The path is unsafe and poorly maintained.

Trek either in the morning or late in the afternoon.

Bring at least 1.5L of water per person and wear appropriate footwear; avoid going barefoot or in flip flops.

A few shops are a short walk from the parking lot. There will be a queue at the most photogenic sites, so be patient and enable everyone to take that Instagram shot. Try to get as near to the rocks as possible, but be cautious of the tremendous waves.

– Broken Beach

As you stood on the edge of the cliff, the view before me was nothing short of awe-inspiring. The circular bay with its vibrant turquoise waters enclosed by towering cliffs create a scene straight out of a dream. The highlight, of course, was the magnificent archway formed by the relentless waves, connecting the open sea to a tranquil lagoon.

Words simply can’t do justice to the sheer grandeur of Broken Beach. It’s a place where nature’s artistic prowess shines through, leaving visitors in complete awe. The panoramic vistas, the contrasting colours, and the crashing waves against the rugged coastline all contribute to an unforgettable experience.

Although direct access to the beach is not possible due to the cliffs, the view from above is more than enough to take your breath away. Make sure to have your camera ready because this place is a photographer’s paradise. Oh, and keep an eye out for the occasional sighting of graceful manta rays gliding through the waters, adding an extra touch of magic to the whole experience.
