Terms & Conditions
Check-in and Check-out
- Check-in time is 2 PM, and check-out time is 11 AM.
- If an early check-in is not possible due to another guest checking out that day, you may leave your luggage at the property and check in as soon as your room is ready.
- A late check-out can be arranged on the day of departure, subject to availability, at no extra charge until 1 PM.
- Check-outs between 1 PM and 3 PM incur a charge of 50% of the published rate.
- After 3 PM, 100% of the published nightly rate will be charged.
Payment Policy
The payment schedule depends on the rate chosen:
- Non-refundable Rate: Pay 100% at the time of booking.
- Standard Rate: Pay 50% at the time of booking and the balance 31 days before check-in.
- Flexi Rate: Pay 100% 32 days before check-in.
Currency
- Reservations will be charged in AUD or Euros. You can also pay in IDR via bank transfer or Wise. Please contact us if you prefer to pay in IDR.
Cancellations and Refunds
Standard Rate
- 50% deposit required at the time of reservation (eligible for a payment plan).
- The balance is due 31 days prior to arrival. The deposit is non-refundable.
- Bookings can be canceled 31 days prior to arrival. No refund for cancellations made within 30 days of arrival.
- Special offers and discounted bookings are non-refundable.
- A stay that has commenced is non-refundable.
- Any changes will incur a AU$30 / 19€ admin fee.
- Any refund is subject to a 3% deduction if the initial payment was made by credit card.
Flexi Rate
- This rate allows cancellation without penalty up to 31 days before arrival (42 days if booked on a third-party website).
- A small amount (usually €5/ $10) may be debited to test your card. Final payment will be collected 31 days before check-in. (Eligible for a payment plan).
- Guests cannot book two properties for the same dates using Flexi Rates. If they wish to keep both reservations, a non-refundable charge of 50% of each booking amount will be charged. This prevents hoarding, allowing other guests to plan their holidays.

Boat and Helicopter Transfers
We can arrange boat transfers to and from Bali, Lombok, Gilis, Nusa Lembongan, and Ceningan.
Private boat charters are available.
It is recommended to book boat transfers in advance. We offer discounted rates for our guests.
For helicopter transfers, please note that cancellations or no-shows on the day of transfer will incur a penalty of 20% of the flight price.
Nomad Holiday Rentals acts as a facilitator. Guest are insured during their transport by the respective companies.
Force Majeure: In the event of cancellations due to natural events, weather, political unrest, or other uncontrollable events the guests are offered a rebooking and if it is not possible or suitable, the guest will be refunded.

Damages, Losses & Breakages
Guests are responsible for maintaining the property and leaving it in good order and clean condition. Please report any damages, breakages, or losses during your stay. Nomad Holiday Rentals reserves the right to reclaim the property and claim damages if guests cause breakages, damages, excessive noise, mess, or conduct any unlawful activity.
Guests may be required to provide a refundable security deposit prior to check-in, which will be refunded within 7 days after departure, unless additional time is needed to address damages or missing items. If the security deposit is insufficient to cover damages, the guest is responsible for the remaining balance.
Swimming Pool & Safety
Guests are responsible for supervising children in and around the pool. A removable pool fence can be installed at an extra cost. Pool fences are not required by law in Indonesia, and their absence does not indicate a lack of duty of care. Please read this blog about pool safety. Please prevent drowning.
Liabilities and Disclaimers
- Any loss or damage to personal equipment and property during your stay or participation in activities.
- Any delay, additional expense, or inconvenience caused by events beyond our control.
- Personal injuries, loss of life, or damages during your stay, activities, or transportation, even if booked through Nomad Holiday Rentals.
- The quality or description of services provided by third parties.

- Illegal activities or unauthorized access.
- Improper garbage disposal.
General Rules
- No firearms or weapons on the property.
- No use of illegal substances.
- No immoral acts, including prostitution.
- Pets are not allowed.
Building Works
GENERAL INFORMATION
Housekeeping
All villas and rooms are made up daily, with linen and towels replaced every third day. Housekeeping is scheduled for the morning. If you prefer privacy, please inform the staff.
Laundry
Personal laundry services are not included in the booking. Please let the staff or manager know if you would like laundry arranged. Allow 24 hours for service, with express service available at an extra cost.
Money
Avoid using your credit card in Indonesia whenever possible. Withdraw money only from ATMs located within bank branches where there are cameras.
Scamming is common in Bali, often involving foreigners as both culprits and victims. It is advisable to bring cash when traveling to Nusa Lembongan, Ceningan, or Penida, as ATMs in these areas and other tourist hotspots are frequently targeted.
Power
Power outages are common on the islands, especially during peak season (July-August). Indonesia uses European-type two-pin plugs and 220V. Most power in Bali and the islands is generated by burning fuel. To help reduce power consumption and pollution, use air conditioning wisely. Keep doors and windows closed when the AC is on, and turn it off when you leave the room. Some properties are equipped with power generators to mitigate the effects of power cuts, which can also impact water supply.
Swimming Pools
Please do not bring glasses into or around the swimming pools. Broken glass is a serious hazard, and any breakages will require the pool to be drained. This is a costly and time-consuming process that will be charged to the guest responsible, including any costs related to the cancellation of subsequent guests.
Smoking
All bedrooms are strictly non-smoking. You may smoke in the open common areas, using the ashtrays provided.
Internet WiFi
Most of our villas, with a few exceptions on Nusa Lembongan and the Gilis, have high-speed WiFi ranging from 10 to 50 Mbps. Internet speed on Nusa Penida can be irregular and patchy, though the service improves each year. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please inquire with us if you require a reliable internet connection for work.
Wildlife
Many villas in Bali have open bathrooms and living rooms, which can attract wildlife. All our villas are treated by a pest control company for rodents and insects. Geckos, which help control spider and mosquito populations, are a common and harmless feature in Bali.
Tips and Gratuity
Service charges are not included in the booking prices. If you wish to show appreciation for the service, please tip the staff directly. They will share it amongst the team.
Electric Plugs
Power in Bali is 220V with two-pin European plugs. Most of our properties provide power adapters; otherwise, they are widely available for a small price in supermarkets.
Local Customs
Please respect local customs as you would at home. Avoid toplessness in town, refrain from drinking alcohol in the streets, and stay away from drugs and drug users—the penalties for drug use in Indonesia are extremely harsh. Keep yourself safe and enjoy your holiday in paradise.
Diving
Booking your dives in advance is recommended during certain times of the year in Nusa Lembongan and Penida. Our guests receive a 5% discount on any dive or training package. Just mention #NomadHoliday when booking.
Driving in Bali
An international driving license is required to ride a scooter in Bali. Without one, your travel insurance may not cover accidents. Please obtain your international driving license before leaving your country.

- Contract a travel insurance to cover cancellations fees and make sure riding scooters (CTP) is included. When renting a scooter in Bali it rarely comes with insurance.
Payment Plan: Deposits and Balances
The Payment Plan Feature allows Guests to pay a portion of a booking’s Total Fees at the time of booking and to pay the remainder of the Total Fees at a later time prior to check-in. The Payment Plan Feature is available to Guests for eligible bookings when they pay with certain Payment Methods – Credit card, Bank Transfers.
Nomad Holiday Rentals will notify you of the amount and schedule of each payment due. On the second payment due date, Nomad Holiday Rentals will automatically charge the credit card you used to make the booking. Voucher credits cannot be used for the second payment. Therefore, to the extent voucher credit is used for the initial booking using a Payment Plan, Nomad Holiday Rentals will only apply the voucher credit up to the first scheduled amount due.
If you make a modification to a booking made, you will be notified of the revised payment schedule, as applicable. If the modification increases your Total Fees, you may be required to make an additional partial payment of the new Total Fees at the time of the modification or it will added to the balance of your last payment due.
Please note if your credit card is declined Nomad is entitled to charge a fee of Eur5.00 or AUD9.00
Bookings are not transferable
You authorise Nomad Holiday Rentals to collect all amounts due from you pursuant to these Payment Plan Terms by charging the credit card used to make the booking. You agree that by selecting the Payment Plan Feature, you may not be able to pay for the booking with a different Payment Method.
If Nomad Holiday Rentals is unable to collect any payment pursuant to these Payment Plan Terms, you authorise Nomad Holiday Rentals to cancel the booking on your behalf. If the booking is cancelled, you will be refunded based on the cancellation policy terms of the Rate you have selected when booking . You acknowledge that you may incur fees for cancellations.
Liabilities and Disclaimers
Please be advised that Nomad Holiday Rentals nor any of its employees or representatives or the owners of the villas we manage are responsible for:
- Any loss or damage to personal equipment and property during your stay at our villa or during your participation in any activities including transportation during your visit to Bali, Lombok or Nusa Lembongan, Ceningan and Penida.
- Any delay, additional expense or inconvenience which may be caused directly or indirectly by events outside of our control such as late arrival of International flights, civil disturbances, fire, floods, unusually severe weather, nature or governments, newly imposed regulations, or the failure of any machinery, equipment or structure.
- Personal injuries or loss of life, intoxication of any kind, any consequences of lack of supervision or common sense, or the failure of any machinery, equipment or structure, occurred at the properties we manage or external venues, tours, during transportation, at facilities or locations which may or may not have been recommended by Nomad Holiday Rentals.
- Personal injuries or loss of life, loss of property while using a transport company, boat company, private driver even if Nomad Holiday Rentals has booked the transport for you.
- Nomad Holiday Rentals has taken due care and responsibility to verify and check all information on our website as at the time of compilation, however, as this information is supplied by the relevant accommodation & tour/cruise operators, it accepts no responsibility for any inaccuracy or misdescription contained in the publications. Sales of services as contained in our publications are made by Nomad Holiday Rentals only as agent for the person, business or company providing the services. The standards of accommodation and other services chosen are based on various factors, which are generally accepted as indicative of a certain class.
- Nomad Holiday Rentals does not accept any liability of whatever nature for the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of those service providers in connections with your convention pursuant to a contract between them and yourselves and over whom we have no direct control. We do not accept liability in contract or in tort (actionable wrong) for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by force majeure or other events which are beyond our control, or which are not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part including, but not limited to war, civil disturbance, fire, floods, unusually severe weather, acts of God, acts of Government or of any other authorities, accidents to or failure of machinery or equipment or industrial action.
